Delete Your Account and Data

This page explains how to permanently delete your Al-Tahmitsu account and all the data linked to it. Al-Tahmitsu is operated by Oz Yahav (AbraCodeAbra).

Option 1: in the app (recommended)

1. Open Al-Tahmitsu and go to Profile.
2. Tap Delete account.
3. Confirm.

Your account and its data are deleted from our servers right away, and anything you posted disappears from the community.

Option 2: by email, without the app

If you no longer have the app installed, or can't access it, you don't need to reinstall it:

1. Email privacy@abracodeabra.org with the subject "Delete account – Al-Tahmitsu".
2. Send it from the email address linked to your account.
   • If you signed in with Apple and hid your email, include your Apple relay address (it ends in privaterelay.appleid.com) and your display name in the app.
3. We'll verify that the account is yours, delete it within 7 days at most, and email you once deletion is complete.

What gets deleted

• Your account: email address, internal ID, display name and profile details (photo, bio, general location and baking experience).
• Your content: all your posts, comments, reactions, recipes and photos.
• Your connections: follows and blocks.
• Firgun: your tip count.

What we keep, and for how long

• Backups: copies held in backups by our infrastructure provider are erased in its normal backup cycle.
• Preventing abuse and legal requirements: data needed to prevent abuse, or that we're legally required to keep, is kept only for the minimum time needed.
• Firgun purchases: Apple keeps its records of your purchases under its own policy. We never receive payment details.
• Baking data: doughs, starter and history were never on our servers. They stay on your device and are removed when you delete the app.
