FAQ
Does the app cost money?
No. It's free, with no ads. You can send the developer an optional one-time "Firgun" tip, but it's never required and never locks any feature.
Do I need an account?
For most things, no. Baking tracking, your starter, timers, recipes and the guide all work without an account, and you can browse the community too. You only need an account to post, comment, like, follow, publish recipes or send a tip.
How do I sign in?
The sign-in screen offers two ways:
- Sign in with Apple: fast, with no code.
- Email: we send a one-time code to your email address.
Why is there an age checkbox before the community?
The community includes content from other users, so it's for ages 13 and up. If you're younger, tap "Continue without the community" and you can use everything else in the app.
How do I report abusive content?
Every post, comment and profile has a "…" menu with a "Report" option. We review every report within 24 hours, remove content that breaks the rules and block repeat offenders.
How do I block someone?
Choose "Block" from the same "…" menu. From then on, they won't see you and you won't see them. You can manage your blocked users in Profile → Privacy.
How do I delete something I posted?
In the post's or comment's "…" menu, choose "Delete".
How do I delete my account?
In the app, go to Profile → Delete account. For everything else, including how to request deletion without the app, see Delete your account and data.
What's the "Firgun" badge?
A cosmetic badge shown next to your name and on your starter, as a thank-you for your support. It doesn't unlock anything.
Reminders aren't working
Notifications are off by default. Turn them on in Profile → Timers, notifications, night mode, and make sure notifications are also allowed for the app in iOS Settings.
Does my data sync between devices?
- Baking data (doughs, starter and history) stays on the device where you created it.
- Your profile and community content are linked to your account, so they're available on any device you sign in on.
