Terms of Use

Welcome to Al-Tahmitsu ("the app" or "the service"). The app is built and operated by Oz Yahav, Israel ("we"). Your use of the app and its community is governed by these terms ("the Terms") and by our Privacy Policy, which is a separate document. If you don't agree to the Terms, please don't use the service.

1. Age

• The community: for users aged 13 and over. You'll be asked to confirm your age before entering it.
• The rest of the app: available without the community.
• Minors: need a parent's or guardian's consent to create an account.

2. License

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable license to use the app for private, non-commercial purposes.

You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, rent, sell or distribute the app or any part of it, except where the law expressly allows it.

3. Your account

• Why you need one: posting, commenting, likes, follows, publishing recipes and tips all require an account.
• Your responsibility: keeping access to your account safe, everything done through it, and giving accurate details.
• Deletion: you can delete your account at any time in the app (Profile → Delete account) or as described on the Delete your account and data page.

4. User content

We have zero tolerance for abusive content. You may not post content that is:

• sexual or pornographic;
• violent, racist, inciting, harassing, threatening or defamatory;
• illegal;
• spam.

Such content will be removed, and the account that posted it may be blocked. See the Community Guidelines for details.

You also agree not to:

• impersonate any person or entity, or harass, threaten, bully or shame other users;
• post content that infringes copyright, trademarks, privacy or any other third-party right;
• post spam, unwanted commercial promotion or scams;
• collect data about other users, or use bots and automated tools;
• try to get around security, moderation or permission controls.

Ownership: what you create stays yours. When you post it in the community, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, store, reproduce and distribute it within the service so we can operate it. The license lasts while the content is published and ends when you delete it.

You confirm that you have the rights to post your content.

5. Other users' content

• What you post in the community is visible to all users, including guests without an account.
• Recipes, tips and content from other users are not reviewed or endorsed by us. The people who posted them are responsible for them.

6. Reporting, blocking and moderation

• Report and block: every post, comment and profile lets you report abusive content and block the user.
• Filtering first: before anything is published, the app filters it against a list of banned terms.
• Handling reports: we commit to reviewing every report within 24 hours of receiving it, removing content that breaks the rules and blocking repeat offenders.

7. Removal, suspension and termination

• What we may do: remove content, and suspend or block an account, when the Terms are broken. This applies especially to abusive content, harassment and misuse.
• Appeals: if you think your account was blocked by mistake, write to support@abracodeabra.org and we'll look again.
• Leaving: you may stop using the app and delete your account at any time.

8. Recipes, baking and food safety: important

• General guidance only: recipes, fermentation and baking times, "peak" estimates, reminders and tips in the app are provided as they are. They are not professional, nutritional, medical or safety advice.
• Safety in the kitchen: baking and fermentation involve live cultures, heat and kitchen tools. Be careful and follow basic hygiene and food-safety practices.
• Allergens: watch for gluten, eggs, nuts and other sensitivities.
• Times are estimates: they depend on temperature, humidity and ingredients, and your results may differ.

9. In-app purchases ("Firgun" tips)

• Free: the app is free.
• What a Firgun is: a voluntary one-time tip through the App Store's in-app purchase system. It supports the developer and adds a cosmetic badge only, with no extra content, service or benefit.
• Payment: Apple processes it, subject to the App Store terms. The price is shown when you buy.
• Refunds: handled by Apple under its policy and applicable law.

10. Intellectual property

The app, its design, logo, original content and software belong to Oz Yahav and are protected by copyright and other rights. You may not use them without permission, beyond ordinary use of the service.

11. Liability

• The service is provided as it is and as available. It comes with no express or implied warranty, including fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted availability.
• Indirect damage: to the maximum extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damage. That includes loss of data, damage from baking results, damage from other users' content and damage from relying on information in the app.
• Cap: in any case, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the year before the event.
• What is not limited: nothing in this section excludes liability for bodily injury, for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, or for any liability that cannot be limited by law.

12. Indemnity

If someone brings a claim against us because you broke these Terms, or because of content you posted, you will cover the damage and reasonable costs this causes us. We'll tell you about the claim promptly and let you defend against it.

13. Governing law and jurisdiction

• Law: these Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel.
• Jurisdiction: disputes will be heard by the competent courts in Israel. This doesn't take away any right the law gives you to bring a claim elsewhere, such as in the courts where you live.

14. Apple App Store terms

• Apple is not a party: these Terms are between you and Oz Yahav only, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.
• Standard EULA: the license is also granted under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA). These Terms supplement it, and if they conflict, the provisions that protect you more will apply.
• License scope: limited to non-transferable use on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store usage rules.
• Support and maintenance: Apple has no obligation to provide any. Support is our responsibility alone.
• Warranty: if the app fails to meet any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price, if any. To the maximum extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app.
• Claims: we, not Apple, are responsible for handling any claims by you or a third party relating to the app. That includes product liability, legal or regulatory compliance and consumer protection.
• Third-party intellectual property: we, not Apple, are responsible for investigating, defending and settling any claim that the app infringes a third party's intellectual property.
• Export restrictions: you confirm that you are not in a country under a U.S. government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on any U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
• Apple as beneficiary: Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them.

15. General

• If any provision is found to be unenforceable, the rest remain in effect.
• Not enforcing a right is not a waiver of it.
• These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between us about the service.

16. Changes to these Terms

• Every version is published at this address with its effective date, and previous versions are kept in the archive.
• Material changes: we'll tell you about them in advance, with an in-app notice or by email.
• If you don't agree to a change, you can stop using the app and delete your account before it takes effect.
